When Can You Expect the 2017 Hyundai Genesis G80 Release Date to Be?
Hyundai is launching a new sport-luxury car line, and the midsized G80 is set to be central to the plan. Taking much of its design from the current Genesis sedan, the new 2017 Hyundai Genesis G80, when the release date arrives, will offer Oklahoma City and Midwest City shoppers a competitively priced luxury option backed by Hyundai reliability and design.
When Will the G80 Release, and How Much Will It Cost?
Although Hyundai hasn’t yet announced a release date for the G80, it’s expected that it will drop shortly after the G90 hits the market. While not yet set in stone, that’s believed to be later this fall, and with an expected starting price in the neighborhood of $45,000, the G80 will be a rare bargain in this market.
What New Features Will It Bring to the Table?
The Genesis just saw a redesign in 2015, so changes to the 2017 G80 are expected to be minimal, though that doesn’t mean they aren’t significant. The exterior of the sedan will have a redesigned front bumper, grille, and front fascia, giving it a more European flair while also providing increased airflow and better dynamics.
Inside, it’s rumored that the cabin will get a light refresh as well, increasing legroom and reducing space-eating clutter. The dash will change too, improving on functionality and making the controls more intuitive allowing drivers better access to the standard infotainment and performance audio systems the G80 will offer.
Of course, drivers can also expect a number of upscale features, like soft-touch materials, 12-way power heated leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and more, as well as a potent engine. The new G80 is said to be powered by the impressive 3.8L V6 engine which should put out around 333 hp when paired with the 8-speed automatic transmission.
As for the rest? Hyundai is content to keep us guessing for now, but whatever they do include with the G80, we know it will be good.
